Baby Sharks Program

The Baby Sharks program is the perfect starting point for young swimmers who are just beginning their swim journey or need a little extra confidence in the water.

Designed for swimmers ages 4 and up, this program focuses on building comfort, basic skills, and confidence in a fun, supportive environment. Whether your child is just getting used to the water or is ready to take the next step toward the swim team, Baby Sharks help bridge that gap.

What to Expect

Our coaches work with swimmers at a variety of beginner levels—from those learning water comfort to those developing foundational swim skills. Practices are structured to be encouraging, engaging, and age-appropriate, with an emphasis on:

  • Water safety and comfort
  • Basic swim skills and coordination
  • Listening skills and following instruction
  • Building confidence in and around the water

Swimmers will be grouped based on ability to ensure each child is supported at the right level.

Practice Schedule

Baby Sharks practice three days per week:

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • 9:15–9:45 AM
  • 9:45–10:15 AM
  • June 2nd – July 16th

Time slots will be assigned based on skill level to create the best learning environment for each swimmer.

Program Goal

Our goal is to help each swimmer gain the confidence and skills needed to progress to our Junior Sharks program.

By the end of the summer, many Baby Sharks swimmers are ready to:

  • Join Junior Sharks practices
  • Participate in a swim meet
  • Feel confident swimming independently

All baby shark swimmers are encouraged to join us on our last home meet for a baby sharks race! More information to come!

Friday Fun

Baby Sharks are invited to join our Friday ribbon and awards time:

Fridays | 9:15–9:45 AM | Pool Deck

This is a fun way to celebrate progress, build excitement, and feel part of the team!

What to Bring

Please have your swimmer come prepared each day with:

  • Swimsuit
  • Goggles
  • Towel

Not Sure Which Group is Right?

If your child can “sort of swim” but you’re unsure what level they belong in, we’re happy to help!

Please have them attend practice the week of May 26th, and our coaches will evaluate and guide you to the best fit.

Parent Involvement

We ask that parents remain nearby during practice to help supervise and assist with any behavioral needs if necessary.

At the same time, we kindly ask that you allow our coaches to lead practice so swimmers can learn to listen, engage, and grow more independent in the water.

Why Baby Sharks?

Baby Sharks is more than just swim practice—it’s a confidence-building experience. We focus on creating a positive, encouraging environment where swimmers feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.
